The UNO model has a bottom plug, and the ICY model comes with a pop-up valve. If you prefer not to drain directly onto the ground, a simple, inexpensive water pump can be used to remove the water. On the Waatea ICY you can connect a hose.

You can use big cooling packs, PET bottles, ice cubes, place it in the shade, and keep it covered with a lid and cap. For the winter, we've developed the + models with heating to avoid the need for ice removing. For standard models, you can add warm water or use salt.
